During a meeting last wweek with the Civil Service Fire Advisory Board, the following updates were provided to the PFANJ:

1ST AND 2ND LEVEL (CAPTAIN/LIEUTENANT):

BATTALION FIRE CHIEF:

Announcement: July 2021

Written Exam: Jan. 2022

Oral Exam: May 2022

DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF:

Announcement: Dec. 2021

Oral Exam: April 2022

FIRE CHIEF:

Announcement: August 2021

First and Second level supervisor lists will be extended for up to 1 year or until a new list is promulgated. Any municipality with exhausted lists are eligible to make Provisional Appointments. As it looks now, the Entrance list will be extended.

Civil Service is exploring their options due continuing Covid restrictions. The Commission has made the decision to waive the Physical Performance Testing portion for this cycle. Candidates will not be required to make it up.
